West Chester University Honored At Wow For Yow Dinner

The following a press release from the West Chester University Athletic Department.

West Chester University was recognized for its fund-raising efforts for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund at the organization's annual Wow For Yow dinner held during the NCAA Women's Final Four in Denver, Colo., Friday night.

West Chester raised the most money of any Division II institution in the country. West Chester University raised nearly $7,000 during its Play4Kay annual women's basketball game in February. It was a campus-wide endeavor, involving a large number of student organizations, that was spearheaded by both West Chester women's head basketball coach Deirdre Kane and the university's Director of Service Learning and Volunteer Programs, Maggie Tripp.

Coach Kane was on hand to accept the gold trophy on behalf of West Chester University Friday night at the Wow For Yow dinner at the Women's Final Four in Denver.
