Fatal Crash Begins in Connecticut, Ends in Coventry
One person is dead after a crash just past the Coventry town line.

Authorities are investigating a fatal crash in CoventryΒ Wednesday night.
The crash began in Connecticut but the car ended up on its side just over the border in Coventry along Route 14 on Plainfield Pike, police said.
Police said the car came to a stop in Coventry on the side of the road.

Police have not identified the driver and the accident remains under investigation.
Officials said the driver apparently lost control and hit an embankment.

The vehicle had Connecticut license plates.
First responders used the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver and administered CPR while en route to the hospital.
The Connecticut State Police and Connecticut fire units responded to the scene along with members of the Central Coventry Fire Department.
