Michael E. Bellotti, 92, of Cranston, passed peacefully Saturday (3/16/2013) at the Philip Hulitar Center.

Obituary: Michael E. Bellotti, 92

Michael E. Bellotti, 92, of Cranston, passed peacefully Saturday (3/16/2013) at the Philip Hulitar Center. 

Born in Providence, a son of the late Michael and Rose (LaFazia) Bellotti and resident of Cranston most of his life. He was the husband of the late Anna A. Vessella.

Mike was a bakery supervisor for the A&P Bakery Division for 29 years before retiring in 1975. He was a WW II US  Army veteran, Red Arrow Division. A devote catholic, and a member of the St. Bartholomew Church Choir and Rosary & Devine Mercy Chaplet group since 1941. In addition, his singing career included the Silvertones of Cranston and the Goldenairs Singers of Smithfield.

He leaves 3 sons; Michael G. (Laura) Bellotti of Los Angeles, Christopher V. and Matthew L. (Denice) Bellotti of Cranston, 4 daughters; Mrs. (Anthony) Camille M. Cardente of Foster, Mrs. (Lawrence) Janice A. Bellotti-Pace of Seattle, Mrs. (William) Marie M. Birch of Cranston and Mrs. (Bernard) Anita L. Nascenzi of Cranston, 1 brother, Roland Bellotti of Cranston, a sister Martha Procaccini of Johnston, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was brother of the late Alfred, John and Thomas Bellotti and Mary Palumbo.

Funeral Tuesday at 8:30am from the Stapleton-Barry-Holdredge Funeral Home, 684 Park Avenue, Cranston with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew Church at 10:00am. His life will be celebrated with calling hours Monday 4-8pm. Burial, with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
