Rhode Islanders will start the new year spending the same on gas as they did to end 2012 as average prices in Rhode Island remain unchanged for the second consecutive week, according to AAA Southern New England.
But in Johnston, drivers can find it significantly cheaper.

The current price is 22 cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.29. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.35.
