How To: Tackle Your Summer Reading List

Need to get that one last book read before school starts? More? We've put together a quick guide to give you some last-minute options for summer reading.

The summer days are coming to a close, and we know that it's been a busy two months for most kids. Summer reading was probably the last thing on you or your child's mind, and we want you to know that its OK if you're down to the stretch and need a last-minute read. Now where did that reading list go...

Luckily, we've put together a quick list of the suggestions for summer reading for a few of the schools in South Kingstown. The English department at South Kingstown High School has a required reading list for each grade and a follow-up assignment for their students. We have attached the full reading lists as PDFs in this article so that you can look at the whole list for more suggestions.

Broad Rock Middle School and Curtis Corner Middle School

Students are expected to read four books, one being in the science fiction genre, one being an autobiography and the last two can be whatever genre the student chooses. Once they read the four books, they must fill out the response sheet, which we have attached in a .pdf file for printing. We also have a couple suggestions, and if those don't work, your local librarian should have some other great ideas.
