On Way to Court, Man Charged With Five Domestic Felonies

Keith W. Mongillo, 34, of 60 George Ave., North Kingstown, was arrested at about 9:25 a.m. on Oct. 31 and charged with five counts of violating a protective order. The charges were all elevated to felonies because of past offenses.

According to police, they received a report from a Cranston couple that Mongillo had attempted to run them off the road, and also sworn at them. The couple told police that they and several children in the car all had no-contact orders with Mongillo.

Police said a background check confirmed that the orders were active. Police said they were told that Mongillo was on his way to Fourth Division District Court, where a status hearing for Family Court was scheduled.

According to police, when they spoke to Mongillo at the courthouse, he refused to provide a statement or to refute the claims of the couple. As a result, he was arrested and charged with five counts of violating a protective order.
