Newport Hospital Security Guard Has Teen Patient Arrested
Police charged a 15-year-old Newport boy with Simple Assault after a hospital security guard claimed he bit him.
NEWPORT, RI—A 15-year-old Newport boy is facing a misdemeanor Assault and Battery Charge after a hospital security guard claimed the teen bit him. Police investigated and said the guard's skin had not been broken but an area of skin was red and raised.
The guard insisted he wanted charges pressed.
The boy said he came to the hospital for help, and no one was helping him. His name is not being published because of his age.
