Two Hospitalized after West Main Road Crash
Two men were transported to Newport Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after a crash on West Main Road near Raytheon last night.

Michael P. O'Brien, Portsmouth Fire Department's Dep. Chief, said crews were dispatched to the scene at around 10:30 p.m.

Rescue 3 and Engine 1 responded and crews found two cards had crashed with one injured person in each car.

One patient was described as a 57-year-old man who had to be extricated from the car with the Jaws of Life. He was transported to the hospital with a head injury.

The second man, a 43-year-old, was transported to the hospital with "multiple injuries," O'Brien said.

The last unit cleared the scene at around 10:59 p.m.
