Little Compton resident Dan Murphy finished Monday's Boston Marathon with a time of 3 hours, 34 minutes, and 27 seconds.
The time was good for 10,664th place overall. The 55-year-old Murphy was the fastest runner from Little Compton or Tiverton.

Meb Keflezighi finished first overall with a time of 2 hours, 8 minutes, and 37 seconds. He was the first American to win the race since 1983.
About 36,000 runners registered for the marathon, which featured a larger-than-usual crowd of about a million spectators after
last year's deadly bombings.
