• Phase 1 of infrastructure plan to begin (tpimediagroup.org) — Alexander City officials have approved Phase 1 of a major water main replacement along Highway 63, a project expected to significantly reduce leaks and modernize aging pipes. Work will run from Friendship Baptist Church to Stonebridge, using high-grade, long-lasting materials and coming in well under original cost estimates, with later phases extending improvements toward Moose Road and County Road 128.
   

• Dr. Jose Reyes out as superintendent after heated discussion, split vote (tpimediagroup.org) — Alexander City residents will soon see a leadership change in their school system, as the Board of Education voted 3–2 to terminate Superintendent Dr. Jose Reyes’ contract effective Oct. 30. The move, made without stated cause, drew sharp criticism from two board members over transparency and planning, while others said concerns had been building for months.
