• Bessemer relaunches neighborhood watch to boost safety and trust (wvtm13.com) — Bessemer police have revived the city’s long-dormant neighborhood watch program, inviting residents to meet with officers monthly and share concerns about crime on their streets. A couple dozen neighbors and officers attended the relaunch meeting, where residents reported recent break-ins and police pledged more targeted patrols.
