• Deputy: Man Had Gun 60 Feet From Jonesboro School (neareport.com) — Jonesboro authorities say a deputy found a handgun in a man’s jacket about 60 feet from a local school with roughly 330 students inside after responding to a shots-fired call. The 22-year-old suspect faces felony and misdemeanor charges, remains under a $50,000 bond order, and is due back in Craighead County Circuit Court in Jonesboro on November 23. 
• A-State Joins National Network to Share Emergency Resources (neareport.com) — Arkansas State University in Jonesboro has joined a national mutual aid network so it can quickly share and receive emergency resources with other campuses during crises or major events. Officials say the agreement complements existing city and county partnerships, giving A‑State access to specialized personnel and support when local agencies are stretched thin.
