Bentonville wins at Fort Smith Northside, Fayetteville baseball gets road victory at Rogers Heritage (nwaonline.com) — Siloam Springs girls and boys soccer both rolled past Van Buren, with the Lady Panthers winning 7-0 behind a Chelsea Morales hat trick and the boys taking a 3-1 road victory. John Brown University athletes from Siloam Springs also delivered record-breaking performances at the Little Rock Invitational, setting school marks and earning national qualifying standards ahead of their conference championships.

Benton County restaurant inspections: Milk expired last year has turned pink; insects crawling throughout facility (nwaonline.com) — Recent Benton County health inspections turned up several issues at Siloam Springs locations, including handwashing, sanitation, and policy problems at Casa Vega, Speedy’s, Sunshine Montessori, The Manna Center, and Mini Food Mart. The report also notes other nearby restaurants and facilities, plus a list of places that passed with no violations, including Boys & Girls of Siloam Springs.

Gentry to issue $1.79 million in bonds for parks and recreation improvements (arkansasonline.com) — A major Gentry park upgrade includes a planned regional trail that would directly connect downtown Gentry to downtown Siloam Springs and on to the WOKA Whitewater Park, strengthening ties between the two communities. Funded by $1.79 million in bonds, the project adds new sports facilities, trails, and a long-term active transportation plan that could benefit Siloam Springs residents who travel or recreate regionally.
