Jurors are hearing from a friend who says the defendant showed up after midnight asking for a ride, as prosecutors lay out their case and witnesses continue to take the stand. 
• Charles Ziska (txktoday.com) — Texarkana is mourning the passing of 72-year-old resident Charles Edward Ziska, who died peacefully on May 20 in Texarkana, Texas. A hardworking maintenance and mobile home worker, he will be remembered for his dedication and quiet strength. No services are scheduled yet, but a Celebration of Life is planned at a later date through Tri-State Cremation and Funeral Services in Texarkana.
