• Fuels reduction and forest health thinning ramps up in May Eastern Sierra Now (easternsierranow.com) — Expect significant forest-thinning work and intermittent closures around June Lake and the Scenic Loop from now through late fall, including impacts near June Mountain’s parking area and along Highway 395. Crews will be using heavy equipment and chainsaws across multiple project sites, so visitors and residents should watch for temporary road, trail, and recreation-area closures and increased log truck traffic.
