The awards spotlight first-generation scholars and students from rural and small-town communities, underscoring the academic strength of Windsor and Severance schools as they prepare for college. 
2. 2 Windsor childcare center staff members charged with child abuse (coloradoan.com) — Families in Windsor should know that two former staff members at Kiddie Academy of Windsor have been charged in separate child abuse cases from January and May, involving injuries to young children. Both cases are moving through the courts, and the suspects are presumed innocent, while local advocacy groups continue offering support and resources for affected children and families.

Letestu Named Assistant Coach of NHL's Vegas Golden Knights (oursportscentral.com) — Windsor’s Colorado Eagles announced that head coach Mark Letestu is moving up to become an assistant coach with the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights after leading the team to its first-ever AHL Western Conference Final. Colorado man recovering from three rattlesnake bites (9news.com) — A Windsor man is recovering at home after surviving three rattlesnake bites near Estes Park that triggered anaphylactic shock and required 18 vials of antivenom. He and his wife are urging Windsor-area residents to call 911 immediately after any suspected snakebite and stay alert along popular Highway 34 and other summer hiking and river spots.
