County leaders say they’ll use the report to guide public discussions on possible new jail locations, staffing needs, and costs, and are inviting residents to review the findings and stay involved. 
• Payette teacher surprised with $75,000 award (idahonews.com) — A Payette High School welding and ag mechanics teacher just received a surprise $75,000 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools award to upgrade equipment and expand his program for local students. Tyson Smith was honored during a staged emergency drill, and plans to use the funds to buy new welding gear and make the shop more accessible so more Payette teens can prepare for skilled careers.
