Police: Goodlettsville Son Attacks Dad With Hammer, Dad Shoots
A domestic dispute in Goodlettsville escalated into gunfire.
GOODLETTSVILLE, TN — A Goodlettsville man shot his son in the chest after his son came at him with a hammer during an argument, according to police.
Police were called to Fox Chase Drive around 3:20 p.m. Monday and the father told investigators he grabbed his handgun when his son rushed him with a hammer. The son was taken to Skyline Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Neither the father nor son were identified. Invrstigators from Metro's Domestic Violence division are working the case.
