A Shiitake Situation: Overturned Mushroom-Supply Truck Blocks Interstate Traffic in Nashville
The latest weird semi-truck accident blocked traffic at the Silliman Evans Bridge for hours Saturday.

NASHVILLE, TN — A toppled toadstool toter tied up traffic for hours on Interstate 24 near downtown for hours Saturday morning.
Just after 4 a.m., a tractor-trailer hauling supplies for mushroom growers overturned on I-24 near the ramp onto I-40 and the Silliman Evans Bridge. The cases of fertilizer and nutrients spilled on to the interstate and then on to Hermitage Avenue below.
The driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. It is unknown if he is or is not a fun guy.

Traffic was rerouted on to Shelby Street as two dumpsters and a specialized tow truck cleared the scene. The Tennessee Department of Transportation said the road should re-open around 11 a.m.
This is the latest bizarre truck spill on that section of interstate, where previous truck accidents have left bales of cotton, gooey resin and aluminum cans strewn across the roadway.
