Police Investigate West Nashville Homicide

A man dressed in woman's clothing was found dead behind a Centennial Boulevard trucking company Monday morning.

NASHVILLE, TN — The death of a person found behind a West Nashville trucking business Monday morning is being investigated as a homicide.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to a shooting call at Western Express on Centennial Place in the industrial area around Centennial Boulevard near The Nations at 6:22 Monday morning. When emergency crews arrived, they found a man who was dressed in woman's clothing already dead.

Police were called in and the death was ruled a homicide, though the injuries were not consistent with a shooting.

The victim is a black man in his late 20s to early 30s and was carrying no identification. The victim had two tattoos: "Dreaming" on the left forearm and "Joyce" with musical notes on the chest.
