Medical Condition May Have Caused Deadly Arlington Crash: Police

The woman's car crashed after veering off westbound I-20 and onto Green Oaks Boulevard.

ARLINGTON, TX — A female driver in her 60s died Sunday after her car was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Arlington, police say.

The crash happened around 3:39 p.m. Sunday near the 5500 block of West I-20. Police said the woman was found injured in her car and later died at a nearby hospital.

Investigators believe the woman was driving west on I-20 when a medical condition caused her to veer off the road, onto the inside shoulder, down an embankment and onto Green Oaks Boulevard. Police did not specify what condition caused the crash.

The woman remains unidentified and an investigation by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner is underway.
