Overturned 18-Wheeler Prompts Williamson County Road Closure

Crash at 6199 FM 3405 leads to westbound traffic being diverted to CR 256 while eastbound traffic-routed to CR 255, sheriff says.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS — A crash along FM 3405 where an 18-wheeler overturned has prompted a street closure and diverted traffic, the sheriff said Monday.

Sheriff Robert Chody alerted to the accident at around 3 p.m., asking motorists to avoid the area. He said eastbound and westbound traffic is closed on FM 3405 in Liberty Hill, where the big rig overturned and rolled into a ditch.

As a result of the crash at 6199 FM 3405, westbound traffic was being diverted to CR 256 while eastbound traffic was re-routed to CR 255.

There were no reported injuries, Chody said. Again, motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible to accommodate a police investigation and cleanup tasks.

Liberty Hill is about 23 miles northwest of Round Rock as the crow flies, and some 15 miles north of Cedar Park.
