Conroe Man Arrested Breaking Into Former Workplace
Donald Casteel was arrested for burglary and was also found to be a sex offender with a warrant out of Tennessee.

CONROE, TX -- A Conroe man was arrested Thursday after he was seen on video surveillance burglarizing a business where he was formerly employed.
Donald Ray Casteel was arrested without incident at his home in the 17300 block of Springfield Drive in Conroe. (Sign up for Patch’s daily newsletter for your neighborhood.)
Police were called to the Thompson Pipe Group in the 5100 block of Jefferson Chemical on March 22 for an alarm.

According to police, Casteel reportedly came into the business through an unlocked door.
Casteel was in the process of removing items from the business when he broke an interior window which activated the alarm.

Casteel left the items behind and ran from the business before police arrived.
Employees who reviewed the video surveillance with investigators identified Casteel as a former employee.
During the course of the investigation, deputies learned that Casteel was a wanted sex offender with a warrant in Tennessee.
He was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a burglary charge.
His bond is set at $50,000.
