Austin Firefighter Found Dead At His Home
Officials reported Michael White, a 12-year veteran of the Austin Fire Department, was found dead at his home.

AUSTIN, TX — A veteran Austin firefighter was found dead in his home, officials said Wednesday.
Michael White, who had worked with the Austin Fire Department for 12 years, passed away at his home, fire officials said via Twitter. "We begin today w/extremely heavy hearts," officials said. "Our thoughts and prayers are w/his family, crew members, and all of his brothers and sisters throughout AFD. RIP, Michael; you will be missed."
Austin Police Department Chief Brian Manley expressed condolences: "The men and women of APD stand with you during this difficult time," he wrote on Twitter. "Our prayers go out to FF White’s family and to all AFD."
