Austin-Round was the highest rank among Texas cities. The rest of the state needs to do a little work on its fitness, as the next ranking is way down in the 37th position, where Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington rank.
San Antonio-New Braunfels fared worse, in the 45th position. Sadly, the poor showings of Houston and San Antonio are attributable in no small measure to spikes in the diabetes rate, and an attendant higher obesity rates and decrease in the consumption of fruits.
