Body Of Drowning Victim Recovered At Lake Travis
Man went missing while swimming at Thurman Cove before officials issued death pronouncement around 6 p.m.
TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — A Travis County Sheriff's Office dive team has located the body of a man in the area where the drowning victim first disappeared, officials said on Saturday.
The man went missing on Thurman Cove in Lake Travis earlier today. By around 6 p.m., the sheriff's office said via Twitter that Austin-Travis County EMS medics were en route to the site for an official death pronouncement.
By around 7:20 p.m., that pronouncement came, delivered in the dry nomenclature of emergency work: "#ATCEMSMedics have obtained a Deceased On Scene pronouncement of a ~20s male. No other information available, EMS is clear the scene."
