Body Found At Shoal Creek Along 6th Street: Austin Police
Medics got a call asking for a water rescue on Friday morning only to find man already dead along 800 block of West 6th Street.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — The body of a dead man was found at Shoal Creek along 6th Street Friday morning, police said.
The body was discovered along the 800 block of West 6th Street, officer Destiny Silva told reporters during a media briefing. Given the positioning of the body, the officer said the death is not being considered as suspicious at this time. But she added a definitive ruling on the cause of death is pending a medical examiner's assessment.
The body was discoered at around 8:37 a.m. after Austin-Travis County EMS medics received a call asking for a water rescue, officials said. The man was already dead by the time officials arrived at the scene.
