Houston-Bound Flight Returns To Austin After Cockpit Smoke
United Airlines flight that had just departed from Austin before heading back amid reports of smoke; no injuries reported.

AUSTIN, TX — A United Airlines flight that had just departed from Austin bound for Houston had to return to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Friday night after smoke was reported coming from the cockpit fire, officials said.
The plane landed safely, according to reports. Austin fire crews and Austin-Travis County EMS medics responded to the incident at around 9:15 p.m., but no injuries were reported.
It's unclear what caused the malfunction. No further details were revealed.
