Man Found Dead Along East Austin Greenbelt Trail
Medics originally believed they were headed to a land rescue call before finding the man in his 50s dead at the scene.
EAST AUSTIN, TX — A man in his 50s was found dead along an East Austin trail at the Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt, medics confirmed Saturday.
The incident began as a land rescue along the 5500 block of Rangoon Road just before 6 p.m. amid reports of the victim's presence there. Some 45 minutes after their arrival, medics found the man dead at the scene.
No further details were available early Sunday as to what may have led to the man's demise. Police continue to investigate.
