HOUSTON — Firefighters were responding Sunday to a parking garage at the Hilton Americas-Houston hotel as flames and thick, black smoke shot out of the top level. The Hosuton Fire Department said a car fire broke out Sunday afternoon at the Hilton garage on Polk and Jackson streets. No injuries were reported.

Photos and videos tweeted around 4:30 p.m. showed stunned onlookers watching from at least one nearby skyscraper as firefighters swarmed the garage.

A message left with the Houston Fire Department wasn't immediately returned Sunday afternoon.
