Woman’s Body Found in Burning Car in Richmond

Police said car was reported missing from Harris County.

RICHMOND, TX -- The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparently homicide after a woman’s body was found in a burning car.

Law enforcement officers found the burning car at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in a field off FM 762.

The car was a silver 2016 Nissan Altima, that according to investigators was recently reported missing in Harris County.

Police said the body was that of either white or Hispanic woman and believed to be between 20 to 25 years old, who’d appeared to have had surgery to her jaw or mouth, police said.

Police did not release how they believe the woman was killed.
