Big Rig Fire Shuts Down I-35 Lane At William Cannon Bridge
Northbound lane is currently closed to accommodate fire officials dealing with the vehicle conflagration.
AUSTIN, TX — An 18-wheeler that caught on fire has prompted closure of a northbound lane of Interstate 35 at the William Cannon Drive bridge, transportation officials said.
The right lane going north at the site is shut down to accommodate emergency crews, officials with the Texas Department of Transportation said.
Fire officials are at the scene dealing with the conflagration. If possible, motorists should avoid the area altogether for the time being.
