Firefighter Injured Battling North Austin Blaze
Emergency worker transported to emergency room after fighting morning fire at 6306 Sprucewood Cove is reportedly in good condition.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — An Austin firefighter was injured while fighting a fire in Northwest Austin on Sunday morning.
Crews responded to an attic fire at 6306 Sprucewood Cove shortly after 8 a.m. The home is located east of Lakewood Drive and north of Ranch Road 2222. The home's inhabitants all exited the home safely after a HVAC unit malfunction sparked the fire.
But a firefighter was reported to have sustained an injury during the course of fighting the blaze. Officials didn't disclose the nature of the firefighter's condition, but said he is in good condition after being transported to the emergency room.

Two people were displaced after the house fire, forced to find alternative lodging as a result of the fire which caused about $200,000 in structure damage and another $100,000 in damage to its contents.
