Man Accused Of Taking Up-Skirt Picture At North Austin Comic Book Store
Danielo B. Perez now faces a charge of invasive visual recording punishable by two years in jail and a $10,000 fine.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A recent affidavit reveals that a man accused of taking up-skirt photos of a woman in a North Austin comic store is now facing an invasive visual recording charge.
Cited in a report by the Austin American-Statesman, the affidavit details that a woman was shopping at Austin Books & Comics at 5002 N. Lamar Boulevard last August when she heard a voice directly beneath her. When she looked down, she saw the suspect squatting behind her while pointing his cell phone up her skirt.
The man was later identified as Danielo B. Perez, who is said to have apologized to the woman and her fiancé after both confronted him when they realized what was happening.

The man was also contrite with authorities investigating the incident, urging them to put the incident behind them so everyone could move on, the Statesman reported from the affidavit. He also noted a charge stemming from the incident would ruin him, plus he didn't even have the images anymore, the newspaper reported.
The charge of invasive visual recording Perez now faces is a state felony punishable by up to two years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000.
