North Austin Home Destroyed By Fire
Conflagration totally decimates house at 10907 Buckthorn Drive on Saturday evening, taking a pickup truck parked in driveway along with it.
NORTH AUSTIN, TX — A home in northwest Austin was completely destroyed Saturday evening after a fire engulfed the structure, taking along with it a vehicle parked in the driveway for good measure.
It took 10 fire trucks and 31 firefighters to extinguish the flames at 10907 Buckthorn Dr. that broke out just before 7:45 p.m., KXAN reported. The site of the conflagration is south of Spiecewood Springs Road and east of Highway 183.
Arriving firefighters spotted flames emanating from the garage and attic that quickly spread to the exterior of the structure, engulfing a pickup truck that was parked in the driveway, according to the report. No injuries were reported as the home was vacant at the time, and surrounding structures were not affected by the big blaze, the news station noted.
