Northeast Austin Car Fire Sends Man To Burn Unit In San Antonio
The victim suffered severe burns from the vehicle fire requiring transport to Brooke Army Medical Center's burn it.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX -- A man was injured in a car fire Monday afternoon to the point that he had to be airlifted to a renowned burn unit located in San Antonio.
Austin Fire Department officials told the Austin American-Statesman they responded to a report of a car fire shortly after 2 p.m. at the 7700 block of Old Manor Road near Springdale Road. The area is in the northeast part of the city.
The man's injuries required emergency personnel to fly him on a medical chopper to the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
