From Spring Independent School District: Westfield High School will host a symposium focused on empowering female students Thursday, March 9. The event, organized by a committee of school staff, teachers and students, will feature breakout sessions on personal image, dating, as well as health and wellness. A fashion show highlighting the school’s human services classes and student models is also planned.

Session leaders and event speakers include: Ashley N. Thomas, motivational speaker, owner/operator of Fire ANT Marketing and Advertising; Image Consultant Tiffany Washington; Greater Harris County Emergency Board member and Retired Police Officer Vergil Ratliff, Dr. Stacey A. Godley and Relationship Coach and Author Odetta Price, RN. Houston recording artists Breona Micole and Allie will also perform.

“We wanted to take an opportunity and really focus on our female students by helping them to understand exactly what beauty means – both on the inside and outside. The speakers and events we have planned will give them tools and tips that can be used immediately to make better life decisions and positive steps in their academic and personal goals,” said Westfield High School Principal Alonzo Reynolds III.
