Comcast Business Outages Reported Nationwide: LATEST

The outages reported Tuesday seem to be concentrated in the Northeast, parts of California and Florida and in the Pacific Northwest.

UPDATE 11:50 p.m. EST: In an update, Comcast said the issue has been fixed and the company is working to ensure services are fully restored as quickly as possible. Updates can be found on this forum via Comcast.


UPDATE 6:25 p.m. EST: Comcast reports as of 5:37 EST outbound and inbound phone service for business customers is still impacted. Some customers are seeing recovery of their service.


UPDATE 5:45 p.m. EST: "Early today an issue in our network prevented some of our small business customers from making and receiving phone calls. We apologize for the inconvenience and we’re working as quickly as possible to understand the root cause and get it resolved," Comcast said in an emailed statement.

The outage is affecting business voice customers and is in many of Comcast's service areas.


UPDATE: According to Comcast, as of 4:39 EST outbound and inbound phone service for its Comcast Business customers is still impacted.

Comcast business customers seem to be experiencing outages across the country Tuesday. The outages, as shown on Down Detector, seem to be concentrated in the Northeast, South Florida, parts of Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.

Several customers reported experiencing outages via Twitter.

A forum post on the Comcast Business website says the following:

Hello All,

If you're currently having issues making and receiving calls, National engineering is actively working to resolve this issue and we will continue to update this thread with the most current information.

Service impacted SMB ( Small to Medium Business) voice only*
This should not impact Business Voice Edge or PRI Trunking lines.

Customers reporting the outage to Comcast via Twitter get this reply from customer service:

"Sorry for any frustration, we are currently working to resolve this issue. No estimated time of repair yet."

Several businesses in the affected areas have advised customers that their phones are not working.
