Eric Trump Says His Sister Would Not Allow Herself to be Sexually Harassed
Donald Trump's son said his sister, Ivanka Trump, a "strong and powerful" woman, would not allow such behavior.
Donald Trump's son, Eric Trump, suggested in an interview Tuesday morning that his sister Ivanka Trump would not allow herself to be "subjected" to sexual harassment at work, defending and clarifying his father's comments to USA Today columnist Kirsten Powers.
In an interview with Powers, when asked if someone treated Ivanka in the way former Fox News chief Roger Ailes had reportedly behaved with several women, the GOP nominee said he thinks Ivanka would find another career or another company to work for.
Trump's comments were taken a step further by his son. When asked by Charlie Rose about the comment made by his father and whether a better answer would be to draw it to the attention of human resources, Eric Trump said what his father meant is that Ivanka is a strong woman who would not have allowed such behavior.

"I think what he's saying is, Ivanka is a strong, powerful woman, she wouldn't allow herself to be objected to it, and by the way, you should take it up with human resources, and I think she would as a strong person, at the same time, I don't think she would allow herself to be subjected to that," Trump said on "CBS This Morning." "I think that's a point he was making, and I think he did so well."
"Sad in 2016 we're still victim blaming women. Trust me I'm strong," longtime Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson tweeted.

The allegations against Ailes came to light when Carlson filed a lawsuit in early July claiming he had made unwanted sexual advances toward her and had refused to renew her contract when she rejected them. Since then, several women have come forward claiming they had been harassed by Ailes.
Ailes resigned earlier this month.
"Sigh," tweeted Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly in response to Eric Trump's comments.
