Texas Pastor Offers Praise For Orlando Gunman's Actions: VIDEO
Stedfast Baptist Church pastor says the world is a "little bit better place" after the death of 49 people in Orlando.

Fort Worth, TX — A Texas pastor devoted his Sunday sermon to praising the gunman who killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando, saying "Earth is a little bit better place now."
In the sermon, which was uploaded to YouTube, Stedfast Baptist Church pastor Donnie Romero praised terrorist Omar Mateen for the mass killing, saying the casualties "...were all perverts and pedophiles, and they are the scum of the Earth.” Moreover, he told his flock he's praying for the deaths of survivors of the attack still hospitalized as they undergo treatment of their wounds.
He's not the only pastor taking to his bully pulpit to praise the shooting. In his video, Romero compliments his counterpart Roger Jimenez in San Francisco, echoing his use of the term "sodomites" to refer to the victims.

"I agree 100 percent with pastor Roger Jimenez," Romero said. "These 50 sodomites are all perverts and pedophiles, and they are the scum of the Earth, and the Earth is a little bit better place now."
"I'll even take it a step further, 'cause I heard on the news today there are still several dozen of these queers in ICU and intensive care," Romero continued. "And I will pray to God like I did this morning, and will do it tonight, I will pray that God will finish the job that that man started. And he will end their lives, and by tomorrow they'll all be burning in hell just like the rest of them."

With intensifying anger as he spoke, Romero cited the Bible in his condemnation of the victims, in particular, referencing the book of Leviticus. He went on to refer to the "first queer mass murder" in Genesis 19, adding, "and guess who did it?" The passage describes the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
In the video, members of Romero's congregation can be heard uttering "amen" in support of his points. But by and large, those commenting on YouTube were critical of the pastor's sermon.
"A man of God would never in a million years say the things this man is saying," one wrote. "I am in absolute disbelief this was said in a place that is supposed to be filled with love and acceptance."
Another critic writes: "You are the most hateful, un-Godly man on the planet. First, get a clue, and understand that your God, and Jesus would never, ever approve of your inciting murderous acts, and wishing death upon others."
On its website, the Stedfast Baptist Church describes itself as decidedly "old-fashioned" with a beliefs system rooted in the King James Bible. It also differentiates itself with its more "contemporary" counterparts.
"This church is old-fashioned, has traditional music and a King James Bible only!" the site reads. "The new evangelical movement in America has been a complete disaster. The worldly, rock and roll, contemporary-style churches are not getting the job done when it comes to preaching the Gospel to every creature, teaching Bible doctrine, and preaching hard against sin."
On the site, church officials proudly continue, "We do not pattern our church after these trendy social clubs. Stedfast Baptist Church stands for the old paths and zero compromise preaching."
Despite his similarly unconventional beliefs, Romero in his sermon criticized the Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church which has gained notoriety for its strident condemnation of homosexuality.
"These guys are a bunch of inbred, unsafe idiots," Romero said. "No offense, inbred people, because I'm sorry that I even have to put them in the same category as you, but if you've ever seen the people on the news, all they need is some crazy banjos..."
