"The investigators from the Glenn Heights Police Department and Texas Rangers worked throughout the night following up on investigative leads," Glenn Heights Police Department officials wrote in a prepared statement. "This morning (Sunday) Keidra was able to contact her parents and provide her location, which was a residence in the 3800 block of Gannon Road in Dallas."
Police said the main part of the investigation at this point centers on the veracity of the abduction itself. Glenn Heights police made a point in their statement to convey to the community the episode appears to be an isolated incident, and overall public safety is not in jeopardy -- perhaps hinting the incident might not have been an abduction in the true sense of the term.
