Bank Near Pentagon City Robbed Thursday: FBI

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robber.

ARLINGTON, VA -- A bank was robbed Thursday morning near the Pentagon City shopping center in Arlington, according to the FBI.

On Thursday, at approximately 10:10 am, a male subject robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located at 1429 S. Fern Street in Arlington, near Pentagon City shopping center. The subject entered the bank, approached the victim teller, and displayed a note demanding money, the FBI said. The subject then fled the bank on foot.

Authorities say the suspect is a black male in his late 30s. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing glasses, a black baseball hat, gloves, a light grey hooded sweatshirt and dark sweatpants with a plaid red scarf over his mouth.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest and conviction of this bank robber.

The FBI’s Washington Field Office and the Arlington County, Virginia, Police Department are investigating this bank robbery and request that anyone with information call the FBI at 202-278-2000 or the Arlington County Crime Solvers at 866.411.TIPS (8477).
