Congressional Candidate Shares Screenshot With Porn Tabs Open
Mike Webb, who is running for Virginia's 8th District, posted a rambling explanation after Facebook users mocked him.

A man running for Congress in Virginia's 8th district -- which includes Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church and Fairfax -- had an embarrassing gaffe on his Facebook page recently that went viral: he posted a screenshot of his browser that included tabs open to apparent porn sites.
That's just the beginning of the bizarre Facebook saga of Mike Webb yesterday, who has only recently taken down the Facebook page after leaving it up for hours to open ridicule from Facebook users, even posting a lengthy and incomprehensible explanation as to why he had two tabs open on the screenshot labeled "IVONE SEXY AMATEUR" and "LAYLA RIVERA TIGHT BOOTY," as reported by Gawker.
The screenshot accompanied a strange story where Webb recalled being asked to an interview for a job and then finding out the person who had invited him didn't work there, leading him to imply that someone had done this intentionally because he was running for office.

Webb later put up a new Facebook post that seemingly at least attempts to explain the gaffe, but the post is almost entirely incomprehensible. In it he appears to be blaming outside forces working against him, apparently claiming that a virus "lurking out in the pornographic world" was responsible for the tabs being open.
"Around Powerball lottery time, January 9, 2016, I calculated the odds that my friend Rev. Howard John Wesley and I working independently arrived at the same prayer plan, and I was able to determine that there was about a one in a billion chance that that could have occurred in the way that it did," Webb said in the post, ostensibly an explanation as to why he had tabs open that linked to porn. "Well, as much as folks like Duffy Taylor want to hope that the Devil is waiting for Christian candidates on a particular pornographic website to infect his or her FEC data file is even more improbable than my Paul and Silas story, and I know that Duffy Taylor is not a man of faith belief; so, I don’t know how he empirically arrives at his conclusion. I couldn’t see the probability or possibility without a RAND computer."

When Gawker asked him for comment, Webb replied with another lengthy and strange response that veered from Nigerian scams to subliminal messaging, prompting Gawker to reply: "Thanks for clearing that up, Mike!"
