ICYMI: Police Investigating Body Found in Kingstowne Lake

Police responded Saturday to the report of what appeared to be a body in a pond on South Van Dorn Street near Kingstowne Village Boulevard, according to the Fairfax County Police Department

Police were called to the scene shortly after 11:30 a.m., they said.

Officers arrived and located the body of an adult male in the pond, according to FCPD. Homicide and Crime scene detectives also responded to the scene, police said.

Initially, there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body, according to police. Detectives will now attempt to positively identify the body and to notify next of kin.

The medical examiner’s office will ultimately determine cause and manner of death.
