Briar Woods Crew Team

Briar Woods Crew Team competes at Stotesburt Cup Regatta

On May 20 and May 21, the Briar Woods Crew team competed in the Stotesbury Cup Regatta. The Stotesbury Cup Regatta, the oldest and largest high school rowing competition in the country, is held on the Schulykill River in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania each spring.


This was the first year the Briar Woods Crew team competed as a tier 3 high school sport, previous years were as a club sport. The men's junior 8 boat made it to the semi finals on Saturday, placing 4th in their heat. This was the first time that any boat from Briar Woods has made it to the semi finals.

The Briar Woods Crew team has over 60 members and practice at Beaverdam Reservoir. They will be offering learn to row camps later this summer. For more information, contact bwcrew2015@gmail.com.
