Loudoun County is now selling a variety of government surplus items at bargain prices through an online auction company called Public Surplus. The online store features unclaimed items confiscated by the Sheriff’s office that are also available at the Loudoun County Surplus Store.

The auction will close at 12 p.m. Thursday, July 17. See a complete list of auction items at Loudoun County’s Public Surplus website.

Items for sale include:

  • Bicycles for children and adults

  • Vehicles

  • 30-cubic-yard recycling containers

  • Outdoor pool furniture

  • Computers

  • Other miscellaneous items

Public Surplus was created specifically for public agencies like Loudoun County to sell select items online. Those interested in submitting bids may register with the website for free, though all purchases include a seven percent buyer’s premium charge.

The Loudoun County Surplus Store is located at 14 Cardinal Park Drive, Suite 106 in Leesburg and is open from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the 3rd Friday of each month. The surplus store will accept cash and personal checks (with a valid driver’s license) as valid forms of payment.

Online payments must be made via credit card or wire transfer. No cash, checks or money orders will be accepted.
