Support for Joe May on January 21 in Virginia Senate Special Election

On January 21, there will be a Special Election for State Senate to fill the vacancy created by Mark Herring’s election as Attorney General.  In this important Senate election, I will be supporting Delegate Joe May.

Joe has brought a true dedication to innovative solutions with his public service. During Joe’s time in political office, Virginia has maintained a balanced budget and a AAA credit rating, keeping the door open to growth, and protecting our children and grandchildren from debt.  The General Assembly trimmed the size and waste of government by consolidating or eliminating 19 boards and agencies. Joe personally wrote the Rural Rustic Roads program, which has saved taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.

Both the likely Republican and Democrat candidates in this election are attorneys, with no legislative experience.  In comparison, Joe May is a professional engineer, accomplished inventor and successful businessman, with 20 years experience in the VA House of Delegates. As such, Joe brings a uniquely inventive and practical approach to serving the public, and will be a tremendous advocate for us in the State Senate.
