Robin Kibuka, Economist and Rotarian

Dr. Robin Kibuka has been Chairman of
Standard Chartered Bank Uganda Ltd. since March 28, 2013. Mr. Kibuka is a
senior economist with over 20 years of experience at the International Monetary
Fund (IMF) and extensive international experience with macroeconomic policy and
has provided technical assistance to several countries around the world.

He worked at the Executive Board of the IMF and in several departments of the institution, including the African, HumanResources, Fiscal Affairs, Western Hemisphere, and Statistics. Dr. Kibuka served as the IMF Resident Representative in Ghana and retired in 2009 as an Advisor in the Statistics Department.


He taught at Harvard and MakerereUniversities and worked as a Research Assistant at the Yale Economic Growth Center.



Mr. Kibuka holds a PhD in Economics from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Yale University.
