Three more victims of the have stepped forward, bringing the total number of known victims to nine.
Fairfax County Police believe the man slashed at least five women at Fair Oaks Mall, two at Tysons Corner Center, one at Greenbriar Shopping Center and another woman at Fairfax Towne Center. The latest-reported incidents took place early this year. The women stepped foward after five incidents were connected and highly publicized throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area.
"It's not surprising that people didn't report it back in February or whenever it took place, because many of these girls are 15, 16 years old, and didn't realize that it was something that needed police involvement," police spokeswoman Lucy Caldwell said.
