Alexandria Pet Of The Week: Boscoe The Gentle Giant
Boscoe, a serious looking dog with a not-so-serious goofy personality, is one of the available dogs at the animal shelter.

ALEXANDRIA, VA — Patch regularly spotlights the adoptable pets from the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, which runs the city's animal shelter and provides other animal services.
One of the adoptable pets is Boscoe, a puppy stuck in a big dog's body. Don't be fooled by his serious face, because this 2-year-old dog has a goofy personality and loves to let out his energy. He knows some tricks already but is motivated by treats to learn more.

Boscoe, 2-year-old Male Brindle and White Dog
Don't be fooled by his serious face! Distinguished (and distinctive) Boscoe is a barrel of laughs! At 2 years old, Boscoe sometimes thinks of himself as a big puppy, who likes to jet around the yard, explore the world through sniffing, and cuddle in the laps of his favorite humans. But this gentle giant is more than beauty and brawn; he's also pretty brainy! He knows several cues, including Sit and Shake, and he could be inspired to learn much, much more with the help of some tasty treats. Boscoe's may be big, but it's his goofy personality that is larger than life, and he can't wait to show you his silly side (which is also, coincidentally, the best side for cuddling). If you'd like to learn more about Boscoe and see his antics in action, stop by the AWLA during business hours to meet him today.
